Nurse Licensure November 2008

PRC announced that 39455 out of 88,649 passed the November 2008 Nursing board examination. NLEX, also known as nurse board exam in the Philippines, was held on November 29 to 30, 2008. The Philippine board of nursing gave the exam in Manila and all regional offices.

The members of the Philippine Board of Nursing are Chairman: Carmencita Abaquin; Members: Leonila Faire, Betty Merritt, Perla Po, Marco Antonio Sto.Tomas, Yolanda Arugay, and Amelia B. Rosales.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
a. duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
b. current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
c. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag)
d. 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag)
e. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
f. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
g. initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012.

The exam orientation started at 7:30 am on the first day of the NLE. The answer sheet was filled in with necessary information. Three exams were given on the first day while the remaining 2 exams were given on the second day. COPAR - Community Organizing Participatory Action Research was included in the examination by the Board of Nursing.
